想不起來

躺在床上面，瞪著天花板。
想不起來一個小時前的自己在幹什麼。
如果，我吃了晚飯，那必然是夢。因為我餓得要命。
只是，那種感覺很兀突，從來都未曾這樣。
就好像自己的身體不屬於自己。一切沒有盡頭。誰人喊了我的名字，我沒有回應。因為，名字的意義，由不同的人喚，自有不同。
失去了意義的名字，那麼，我浮在床上面，就不一定是睡眠。那可以是吃飯，可以是旅行。
也因為這樣，大概是因為這樣，才會想不起來一個小時前的自己……

一小時前我喊著子一, 子一..., 但沒收到任何回應,這顯然是由不同的人, 喚一個人的名字的結果。:)
可惜的是，我的名字不是子一；

A short note on Kundera and translation of one's own works
In 1988, Milan Kundera published his first novel written in French, “Immortality” (He wrote in Czech before). In his 1994 essay “Testaments Trahis” (Testaments Betrayed), Kundera addressed adulterators, interpreters and translators by whom he felt his work was often mistreated. He allowed the translation of his works again in Germany while, in France, he personally oversaw the Czech transcription of all his works.
I don't believe a creative writer is capable of faithfully translate his/her own work in another language. All they usually do is to supervise closely translated texts of their own works. What do you think, chi yat?
in my opinion, a creative person, could be capable of doing whatever he/she needs to express the creativity. the creativity could be transformed in any kind of media...it could be drawings, music, movies...etc...
if a creative person could master those different media...he/she could express the creativity in that particular media.
diff. languages are just ones of these media. i don't see the reason why the same person could not write the same book in two diff. languages or things like that.
milan kundera said his works were always mistreated. it might be because the translator wanted a so called faithful translation, while in this process, the "milan kundera" involved inside the media itself is lost...
I think we have drastically different opinions as to what translation - which is not transformation - means. It's so funny in a way that we both stand unconvinced after all.

I guess it's probably not appropriate to talk about the issue here, spoiling everything.
translation is transformation...no matter how you don't want it to be...how you want it to be faithful...
